Emergency Preparedness Track
HAPevolve's Emergency Preparedness track is a program developed to provide training, expertise, tools, and other resources that will help to advance healthcare facility's (more specifically, long-term care) emergency preparedness journey.
Objectives:
- Understand the essential elements of a functional emergency management program for healthcare facilities
- Understand the challenges faced in developing and implementing an emergency management program
- Apply emergency management concepts to your program
- Review basic elements and structure of an emergency operations plan
- Distinguish between types of emergency management training exercises
- Understand the importance of conducting an after action report and improvement plan
- Review the importance of internal and external coordination
- Distinguish between appropriate communication tools during an emergency incident
- Introduce the concept of continuity of operations
